The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein - My Review
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The weaponization of social networks foreseen in 1965.
It amazes me how accurate Heinlein's vision was on the effects of technology on everyday life, particularly on the way it can be abused to manipulate public opinion. The prose does not feel to be 50 years old, bit it is. The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is a great read, a real eye opener for things like AI (Artificial Intelligence), Social Networking and of course real science.

Wow! What a ride, The Outsider is a true roller coaster, at times bumpy, then exciting, but also dark and frightening. It is without a doubt worth the cost of the ticket. As always with SK great story telling and amazingly interesting characters; all wrapped into a great fantasy detective saga. What follows is kind of a spoiler: Bill Hodges trilogy may be one of those stories that keep you wanting for more, well it may be that the trilogy might be turning into a series; the Finders Keepers Series. The Outsider even reads a little bit like Finders Keepers with one of the key protagonists showing up late into the story. Best of all ....Holly Gibney is back! that weird, timid, troubled girl from Mr. Mercedes, now turned into an experienced private eye performs a key role in uncovering the mystery surrounding the outsider. Read no more, If you enjoyed the Bill Hodges Trilogy and want a little more punch towards the macabre, get Stephen King's The Outsider now!
